How do we wanna do this thing? All out assault, or a stealthy approach? Land or sea?

This might have been covered last session but do we have a map / knowledge of the area at all? If not should probably do some stealthy recon beforehand...

Either way my preference would be stealthy until shit gets too out of hand and we don't have other options than be all-out. If the sea is nearby we could maybe use the Fog Of War as either distraction or suppression? I dunno.

Shalelu Andosana has scouted the area, and will be able to draw up a rough map for you before the attack. However, she has never been inside, so she can only really draw what it looks like from the outside. If you turn the screws a bit on your new prisoner, Chuffy Lickwound, he might be able to give you an impression of what resistance you might expect and where. I was thinking I might draw up a picture of Shalelu's map and post in on this board, if I have time.

[Click for larger image] Amidst the rattle and clang of labourers hammering the Glassworks back together, Shalelu Andosana spreads a thin, stained parchment across the meeting room table. "There are two guard posts, here and here. They seem to be manned at all times by at least two goblins each. The guard posts stand a good 30 feet high, and offer a good view of the rope bridge and the Nettlewood to the south, although as you probably already know, goblins are notoriously bad guards. Chances are pretty good that they'll be distracted at any time by doing something stupid like lighting their own farts. The only point of entry by land is a fairly precarious looking rope bridge that runs from the Nettlewood. I have been unable to explore the nettles too closely, because they seem to be riddled with goblins, and the low ceilings and narrow paths through the dense brambles make it difficult for any medium or larger sized creatures to move around. I have seen one particularly nasty goblin hero wandering around here along with his pet Firepelt Cougar, who he calls 'Tangletooth'. The walls of the fort are covered in moss, and seem fairly slippery from the sea air, but it should still be possible to climb them, particularly if you want to gain entry from the courtyard. The island that the fort sits on stands roughly 80 feet high, making a stealthy approach by sea difficult, but not impossible if you're good with a grappling hook. I will set myself up at a concealed position on a raised bluff to the east, where I should be able to help with long range sniper fire, or to provide a distraction if you get in trouble. But remember, once you get inside the lower levels I won't be able to help you apart from to try to cover your exit. Any questions?"

Someone painted a kinda cool picture of Thistletop that gives you a better impression of the shape of the island. It's pretty horribly out of scale though. Valeros and Seoni obviously decided to approach by sea. Although how the hell they got up there without any sign of a boat or climbing gear is anyone's guess.

Maybe we should swap dice. I'm going to make sure that the next game is a lot more chilled out in tone. Everyone looked far too stressed today. We need an easygoing jaywalk through the rest of Thistletop, for a change.

Yeah, personally I would love a game where there is less opportunities for me to outright suck. I didn't mind the last couple of sessions, but it got pretty deflating being absolutely useless pretty much the entire time.
