So Shifty has stepped away from the table. In all honesty, Fort Rannick does sound pretty crap. Is it literally just going from room to room inside a fortress killing the same stat block 34 times??
We should defs take a break from Pathfinder for a bit, I think we are looking at Cuthulu. I'm stoked on this.
If and when we come back to Pathfinder, I could run Fort Rannick. I have a SHITLOAD of Ogre minis from Warhammer, with some riding cool beasts and shamans and all kinds of crap. I could just take the floor plan of the fort and try and make a few half interesting encounters, and just try make sure the main story hooks (if there even are any) are still in the fort.
Likewise, all the Sandpoint stuff is still really fun, ol' Barny Harrigan and the Intellect Devourers. Even if we just wrap that stuff up at some point, that would pretty cool.
I did want to run an AP at some point. I was thinking of Curse of the Crimson Throne, so if we wanna scrap Runelords all together and later on pick up a diff AP, there's that.

A couple of the ogres have class levels, but yeah. That's about it. And looking at the rest of book 3, the rest of the adventure is pretty much more of the same, only, instead of ogres, it's hill giants. *GROAN* That's kinda the trend of the rest of the adventure path from this point, to be honest. And thus, why my enthusiasm has waned. It's just an absolute massacre of hack and slash. I can understand why some people like that sort of thing, but it's just not for me. And if I'm not interested in it, I'm not gonna make it fun for anyone. Hang on to your character sheets though, obviously. Because I'd like to tie up the Barnabas Harrigan and Intellect Devourer nonsense one day. If we pick it up again, we could just take a strategic retreat from the adventure path, give up Fort Rannick as lost, and go back to being drug dealers.
I would love to play in Curse of the Crimson Throne. It's a great adventure path. But I worry that I may have read a bit too much of it. I think I've read the first two books? I can try and pretend I haven't, but that can be kinda hard sometimes.

Oh man. I just realised I'll never get the chance to make my hilarious joke. I thought of it when I first read Fort Rannick about a year ago, and I've been waiting for you to get to the bell tower ever since. DAMN.
