I thought we should take a vote for which campaign to play. Partly because I'm trying not to be a despotic tyrant that tells you what kind of fun you should have, but mostly because I'm horrendously indecisive.
Here is a quick description of your options:
The Masks of Nyarlathotep
A vast and sprawling campaign that hops all over the planet. From New York to Cairo, Shanghai to Australia. A collection of allied cults predicts the ascendence of the Crawling Chaos. Can you prevent it? Probably not. A very epic, and very traditional Call of Cthulhu campaign, probably with lots of Library Use.
Beyond the Mountains of Madness
A sequel to the novella At The Mountains of Madness. You will voyage to Antarctica to investigate the bizarre and dubious claims of the previous expedition. This one is more about brutal survival in a harsh environment than a traditional investigative campaign. It's frequently cited as one of the best and most detailed Call of Cthulhu campaigns, but also criticized as being unusually brutal and slow paced. Unfortunately, this one is long out of print, so I'll have to run it from a pdf.
Horror on the Orient Express
A stylish sight-seeing train trip through Europe, from London to Constantinople, during which absolutely nothing could possibly go wrong. Obviously, a bit railroady (literally), but I've pre-ordered the reprint of the box set, which is due to come out any minute now, so I'll soon have lots of trinkets and maps and shit.
The Noble Experiment
Nikola Tesla and Al Capone vying for money and influence against the backdrop of prohibition era Manhattan. 100% homebrew, so it'll almost definitely devolve into weird nonsense almost immediately.
Obviously, these descriptions are necessarily ambiguous, as this is an investigative role playing game. To tell you any actual information about what is really going on would be to ruin the point of the whole thing.
