I'm stoked I was able to get all your character sheets. Check out the party! I dont know what im not doing right, but I cant get them hyperlinked... so copy and pasting a url it is! 2016! Anarane Nolatari (Ana) . www.myth-weavers.com/sheet.html#id=693439 Makhel . www.myth-weavers.com/sheet.html#id=693380 E.A.D - 4 . www.myth-weavers.com/sheet.html#id=693519Mithra. www.myth-weavers.com/sheet.html#id=695354 Rufus Mantel. www.myth-weavers.com/sheet.html#id=695387 And Courtney, you can use this one if you want, or go back to your original, whatev
I know Jono has already made his on Mythweaver, so i'll just let him post that himself. There are spaces for you guys to fill in what your character looks like, and a backstory etc, so fill that shit out. I'm assuming you guys can edit these as well, and if not, im hoping there is a setting that will allow you to do that. Courtney, can you confirm this? If not, we can just talk about your characters back story here. Let me know if anything in here looks a bit off, or you have questions. I didn't see any mistakes or thing that didn't make sense, which doesn't happen very often.

Last time I used Myth Weaver there was a bit of a glitch with some of the backstory fields, where it wasn't saving any data you put in there. They might've fixed that problem by now, but if you're gonna be doing stuff like that I'd recommend backing it up in a text file somewhere just in case. Oh, and I think you might've botched your HTML skill roll with those character sheet links.

sweet, The only spell slinger i've seen was that one at the end of Rise of the Runelords that Oldmate played. Was this going to be one of the Halfilngs that went missing? The party actually surfaced, so he doesn't need to be, he can come from anywhere...

After consultation with our DM about Talus after last week's debacle, I've rolled a new character. Will Talus return? What happened to him? Will Makhel and Rufus ever get their weapons back from the bag of holding? Meet gnome Bard Pivot Tolen. Charismatic as fuck! Weak as shit! I've built him as lvl 2 - if you want to see my character generation rolls, I've chucked them in the private notes at the bottom of the page. I also had a bit of a question regarding bard magicks, cuz I've never played a spellcaster before. Looking at the bard advancement table, at Level 2, it looks like Bards know 5 x level 0 spells, and 2 x level 1 spells. I've selected these. However, it says that I can't cast any level 1 spells per day - I can only cast 3 level 0 spells per day. Am I reading it right, and if I am what's the rationale for knowing level 1 spells, but not being able to cast them?

First off, you are looking at the wrong website. I think that one is for the d20 OGL or something. For official Pathfinder, use the PFSRD20 (Pathfinder Society Resource Database) www.d20pfsrd.com/classes/core-classes/bard This is the official Pathfinder Society sanctioned rules, so its as official as it gets. But with Bards, you choose the number of spells you know from the Bard list as you create your character and level up. This is the total number of spells you know and can cast from (other than using a scroll to cast a spell or something). Each day you can cast a the number of spells equal to your 'spells per day'. you do not need to choose or memorise your spells at the beginning of the day like Wizards or Clerics do... You just cast any spell spontaneously that you may know from you spell list whenever you need to. You can cast one spell a bunch of times and just burn through your spells per day casting Sleep over and over again if you need to. If you run out of spells for that day, you just have to wait till tomorrow to cast again. This is known as 'spontaneous casting' which is how Sorcerers and Inquisters work. Its good because it means you are a somewhat versatile caster in that you aren't restricted to the spells you chose at the beginning of the day, you can kinda cast spells as they are needed. The downside is you will have a much smaller list of spells to chose from. Looking over your sheet, I think you have short changed yourself a bit with your spells. I'll try clarify some things... Spells known at level two will be (5 X level 0 spells and 3 X level 1 spells) . You can choose spells from the Bard spell list: www.d20pfsrd.com/magic/spell-lists-and-domains/spell-lists---bard These are the spells your character can spontaneously case in any order a certain number of times a day. If you were wanting to make a detective type character 'Aspect of the Nightingale' looks pretty damn cool. 'Charm Person' would be useful...and holy shit " 'innocence' - gain +10 on bluff checks to seem innocent"...fuck. The Bard spell list is hilarious. Nothings is that powerful, but they are all useful in specific situations. So you can randomly cast any of the spells from your list equal to your Spells Per Day. Now to add another level of confusion to this, you get 1 bonus Spell Per Day because of your charisma. You will get a bonus spell per day every level up to and including 4th level spells, which is pretty cool. So with that in mind, you can cast 3 X level 1 spells per day, out of your list of which ever 3 spells you chose to go with. I would spend some time looking through the Bard spell list to try and find spells that work well with each other. You can also pick spells that help reflect the personality of your character. Cure Light wounds might seem important, but you do have a cleric that has the healing domain...then again, you could be a back up healer in case she goes down, or isnt there one week.

Cool, thanks heaps for that. I went home and did it with the core rulebook and Ultimate Magic rather than stuff online and it made heaps heaps more sense. Basically I am thinking Pivot will be a total team player, a tremendous support role. I can't see him dishing out heaps of damage in combat, but he should have some useful buffs and effects, and should be great for more role-play oriented sessions. My level 0 shit is actually pretty cool; because I'm a gnome with charisma > 11, I get 'gnome magic' and can cast once from a set of different spells once a day. They're all weird little trinket spells but some of them (Ghost Voice, Speak With Animal) might come in handy along the way. Meanwhile, I rewrote and chose a bunch of relatively boring safe level 1 spells till I get my head around it. Fucking around with summon monster and magic sounds like a headache at this point. Speak with Animals is a really underrated spell! Especially for finding out information. But yeah, Bards are a great support class, they can do a lot but dont really excel in any one area. But with a party as well rounded as this, it should be fine. As far as spells go though, you can cast from scrolls, so if you do find a spell you want to use, but dont 'know it', you can just buy the scroll for a one off use. Level 1 spell scrolls are usually around 25gp, but get exponentially more expensive (as all magic items seem to do in PF) as they get higher leveled.

Awesome; this might be a dumb question, but can I use wands as well? I assume I can if the wand or scroll contains an Arcane magic, but am not sure. I'm also finally looking into PERFORMANCES as a Bard - these basically replace feats for me, right? They are all pretty funny. I am trying to get a bunch of homespun songs and rhymes in my head for him to sing. Edit: Here's my statblock: Pivot TolenMale CG Gnome Bard, Level 2, Init 0, HP 15/15, Speed Slow (20ft) AC 13, Touch 11, Flat-footed 13, CMD 7, Fort 0, Ref 3, Will 4, CMB -3, Base Attack Bonus 1 Light crossbow (Bolt x10) 2 (1d6, 19-20/x2) Fragile brass knives (x5) 1 (1d3, 19-20/x2) Leather armour (+2 Armor, +1 Size) Abilities Str 4, Dex 10, Con 11, Int 15, Wis 13, Cha 18 Condition None

Yeah, you can totally use wands, anyone can (although non caster characters might need to make a 'use magic device' check).
Bardic Performances dont replace feats, they more so replace your class abilities. Think of them as Rogue Talents I guess. You will still get a new feat you can chose from every 3 levels like normal, but as you level up, you get new Bardic Performance abilities.

holy shit, feats too. what a treat!
edit: i chose 'fleet' as a feat, as it adds 5ft to my movement, which'll presumably come in handy for close encounters. don't want to be stuck standing near a bad guy when i'm this squishy.
