The book for the artificer got released recently too but I can't seem to find out (without buying the book) whether they made any changes to the Artificer before publishing. Do you know Courtney?

I had a flick through at Greenlight comics the other day, and I didn't notice any big changes. Seems pretty much the same to me.

Sweet, I won't bother buying the book on DnDBeyond then and just use the UA version for Gizmo

Just let me recuse myself of any responsibility for you wasting an hour of your life by saying there is no way that video will be worth the watch time.
That said the D&D: Beyond pricing is fairly disgusting. $1.99 per SUBclass, and $1.99 per magic item, that I'm pretty sure are designed specifically to be used with the 'replicate magic item' infusion.

Here is the relevant quote from Reddit.
That's one hour of your life you can have for free.

Also reddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/dndnext/comments/dygye4/what_are_the_major_changes_between_the_ua/ The other thing that I find a bit confusing about the D&D Beyond pricing is that you can only seem to be able to purchase SUBclasses. But Artificer is a core class now, and there doesn't seem to be an option to buy it as a core class. Does that mean you only get access to it if you buy one of the subclasses? Or will it just be available to everyone as a core class for free? Hmmmm...

Follow up... I have a character that I use to test stuff, he has one level in every class, and his name is "Professor Everything". I just enabled Eberron content and I could not add a level in Artificer. You must have to buy a subclass to enable the Artificer option. Doesn't that seem a little weird?

Okay, my theory is confirmed. You have to buy a subclass to enable the class. I just dished out the $3 and bought all three subclasses. You can now make your Artificer street legal MrPickles, and Professor Everything just levelled up.

Best DM ever <3 I'll fix up Gizmo this arvo Also, that backpack turret idea sounds rad AF haha But I also like the sound of having a summon-able pistol, though I guess I can choose based on the situation which is also pretty handy.

Oh no! My Cap of water breathing is gone! T_T Ohhhhh, it must be available for purchase in the special magic items that came with the book. I might buy the book/or the items so that I can use it
